Leeds United Set to Release Defender Kris Moore

Leeds United is expected to allow defender Kris Moore to leave the club this summer, with League Two side Crewe Alexandra reportedly interested in signing the 21-year-old centre-back. Moore, who has captained the U21 squad and made 80 appearances, has failed to break into the senior team and make his professional debut.

According to The Sun’s Alan Nixon, Leeds is willing to let Moore leave in the coming weeks and months. Moore’s contract expires in the summer, and a transfer to Crewe would provide him with the opportunity to gain senior football experience.

Michael Skubala, Moore’s former manager in the U21 squad, described him as the “most-consistent” player in the team. Skubala, now manager of Lincoln City, praised Moore’s leadership role in the U21 side.

With Leeds United expected to undergo significant changes this summer, following their promotion to the Premier League, Moore’s departure would be one of several exits. The club is reportedly looking to sign six new players and spend over £100m, with several players likely to leave as a result.
