Leeds United have pulled off one of the more unexpected deals of the summer, securing Japanese international Takehiro Tomiyasu on a free transfer after the expiry of his Arsenal contract.
The 26-year-old defender, who clocked up more than 50 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, was unveiled at Elland Road this morning — a clear signal that manager Daniel Farke is leaving nothing to chance as he plots a swift return to the top flight.
