Everton FC have announced that their iconic club store, Everton One, located outside Goodison Park on Walton Lane, will permanently close its doors this weekend as part of the club’s preparations for the move to the new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The closure marks the end of an era for the retail outlet, which has served as a central hub for Everton supporters since it first opened in the mid-1990s during Peter Johnson’s time as chairman. A statement from the club confirmed that the store will cease trading at 4pm on Sunday, 13 July.
The decision to shut Everton One comes as part of wider relocation efforts ahead of the 2025/26 season, with the Blues set to begin life at their new state-of-the-art home at Bramley-Moore Dock. A newly built retail space is currently being fitted out in the East Stand of the Hill Dickinson Stadium and is expected to be fully operational in time for the start of the new Premier League campaign.
In a statement released by the club, Everton said:
“Everton One, the Club’s official store located outside Goodison Park, will permanently close at 4pm on Sunday 13 July.
This is ahead of the opening of a brand new store at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, situated in the East Stand of the Club’s new waterfront home.”
As part of the transition, Goodison Park will soon serve as the base for Everton Women. The Women’s Super League side will play their home fixtures at the historic ground for the upcoming season, and the club confirmed that a matchday retail offering will be available on-site for fans attending those games.
Meanwhile, excitement is building for the first-ever fixture at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Tickets for the opening match – a high-profile friendly against AS Roma – have completely sold out, with the game scheduled to take place next month.
The tie carries extra intrigue as both clubs are now under the ownership of The Friedkin Group, and the match is set to be the first taste of action at the 52,888-capacity ground. In addition to the senior team fixture, fans will also be treated to a legends match featuring club greats from both Everton and Roma.
Everton icon Peter Reid is confirmed to manage the Blues’ legends side, while the Italian team will be led by none other than former Roma manager and ex-England boss Fabio Capello.
The farewell to Everton One is a significant milestone as the club prepares for one of the most transformative chapters in its 146-year history. The Goodison store has long been a pilgrimage site for generations of supporters, and its closure signals the final steps toward the dawn of a new era on the banks of the River Mersey.
Everton’s new home is expected to host its first Premier League fixture in August, with further details on the stadium’s retail facilities and fan experience to be revealed in the coming weeks.
