Leeds United Eye Five Ambitious Signings as Summer Window Heats Up

Leeds United are accelerating their summer transfer plans as Daniel Farke seeks to bolster his squad ahead of their Premier League return on 18 August.

The Whites have already confirmed the arrivals of four new signings, including Slovenian centre-back Jaka Bijol and French full-back Gabriel Gudmundsson. However, they’ve also faced setbacks, notably losing out to Sunderland for midfield targets Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki.

With the window gathering momentum, Leeds are actively exploring five potential deals to strengthen key areas of the pitch. Here’s a breakdown of the main targets currently on the club’s radar:

Jeremie Boga – £12.9m bid tabled

Leeds have reportedly submitted an offer worth £12.9million to Nice for winger Jeremie Boga. The 27-year-old Ivory Coast international, formerly of Chelsea, is believed to be open to returning to English football.

The pacey wide man endured a challenging season in Ligue 1 but still managed to contribute three goals and one assist. Farke sees him as a valuable addition to Leeds’ attacking options, with the club intent on adding creativity and flair to their frontline.

Lucas Perri – Goalkeeper priority

In goal, Brazilian shot-stopper Lucas Perri has emerged as the new top target to replace Illan Meslier. While Leeds had previously shown interest in Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, attention has now shifted to Perri, who was part of Lyon’s squad facing provisional relegation from Ligue 1 due to financial issues.

No formal offer has yet been made, but the situation could evolve quickly depending on the resolution of Lyon’s appeal.

El Hadji Malick Diouf – Premier League battle brewing

Leeds are preparing to rival West Ham for Slavia Prague defender El Hadji Malick Diouf. The Czech club has reportedly rejected a previous bid from the Hammers, but they are said to be open to offers around £21.6million.

Slavia manager Jindrich Trpisovsky confirmed: “Diouf is training alone ahead of a likely exit.” Leeds have not yet made a formal approach, but remain interested in the 20-year-old Senegalese international as they look to reinforce their backline.

Anton Stach – Midfield upgrade target

Leeds are also in the mix for Hoffenheim midfielder Anton Stach. The Whites have made initial contact, although a formal offer is yet to be submitted. The 26-year-old played a pivotal role in Hoffenheim’s midfield last season and is considering his future amid interest from multiple clubs.

Leeds anticipate this pursuit may take time, but Farke is eager to add more steel and composure in the middle of the park.

Sean Longstaff – Relentless pursuit continues

Despite having three bids rejected, Leeds remain undeterred in their efforts to land Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff. The 27-year-old, with over 200 Premier League appearances, has just one year remaining on his contract. However, Magpies boss Eddie Howe is reluctant to sell, needing depth for their European campaign.

Unless Leeds significantly improve their offer, the 49ers’ dream of bringing Longstaff to Elland Road may remain out of reach.

With the window still open and ambition high, Leeds United look set to keep fans on edge with more twists to come in their summer rebuild.
