Leeds United are stepping up their pursuit of Brazilian winger Igor Paixao as negotiations between Marseille and Feyenoord for the player have reportedly ground to a halt.

The club are pointing to the success story of former winger Raphinha, who flourished in the Premier League with Leeds before earning a move to Barcelona. The message to Paixao is clear: Elland Road can be a springboard to the very top.
The Brazilian’s quality is not in question. His performances last season were instrumental in Feyenoord’s campaign, and Leeds see him as a potential game-changer as they look to avoid another immediate drop from the Premier League.
