Everton centre-back Michael Keane has committed his immediate future to the club by putting pen to paper on a new one-year contract, extending his stay at Goodison Park until the end of June 2026.

His performances at Goodison Park have also seen him rewarded with international recognition, earning nine of his 12 senior England caps while on the books at Everton. Among the highlights for the Stockport-born defender was scoring in England’s 5-1 European Championship qualifying victory over Montenegro back in March 2019.

While the team has flirted with the wrong end of the Premier League table in recent seasons, Keane has been one of the more experienced heads in the dressing room — often praised for his attitude and leadership during difficult spells.
