The 35-year-old full-back has reportedly agreed terms on a one-year deal with the Toffees and is expected to complete the move in the coming days, marking the end of an era at the Etihad Stadium.

Instead, Walker is heading to Goodison Park, where he will help plug the void left by the departure of Ashley Young. The move aligns with Everton’s short-term strategy of blending experience with younger talent as David Moyes prepares for his first full season back in charge.
The Merseyside club are expected to finalise the deal without any significant financial outlay. City, aware of the service Walker has given the club and the natural evolution of their squad, are not standing in the way of his exit.
