The young talent has attracted significant attention due to his impressive performances at the youth level. All three clubs have met Sheffield Wednesday’s valuation, indicating serious interest from top Premier League sides.
Caelan-Kole is the son of former Everton striker Danny Cadamarteri, who made headlines in the late 1990s with his performances for the Toffees. Danny’s connection to Everton could provide the club with a unique advantage in securing his son’s signature. On social media platform X, Danny expressed his sentiments:
“I’m only reading the same as you guys. If Everton want him, they need to go get him. Everyone knows I love the Toffees – it would be a fairytale story. A new era at Everton with a newer and improved Cadamarteri taking to the field. But he’s an 🦉 till I’m told different.”
Sheffield Wednesday is keen to retain Caelan-Kole, having already turned down several offers. Due to his age, the club cannot offer him a professional contract until he turns 17, making them vulnerable to losing him if he chooses to depart. They have, however, offered early scholarship terms and are hopeful he will continue his development at Hillsborough.
The Cadamarteri family has a strong footballing pedigree. Caelan-Kole’s older brother, Bailey Cadamarteri, is also making strides in his career. Bailey, currently with Lincoln City on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, has expressed his ambition to surpass his father’s legacy. In an interview, Bailey stated:
“I’d love to beat my dad’s legacy. He played in the Premier League and scored a few, so if I can go on and do better than him I think I’ll have done well.”
As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether Everton can leverage their historical ties and familial connections to secure Caelan-Kole’s signature amidst competition from other top clubs.
